About Us
We are the Buddy Gene Foundation, a registered 501 C 3 non profit organization, created following Buddy's death in 2021. We want to help meet the needs of vulnerable senior animals, and senior citizens, in North Carolina, by fostering, adopting animals and helping seniors keep their animals at home whenever possible. All of this is expensive and we need your financial support. We can't save every animal, but we are trying. We are all volunteers, including our Board of Directors. No one receives compensation.

One who has earned the love of a senior animal is BLESSED!
Our mission is to make a difference in the lives of senior animals who have been surrendered, abandoned, discarded, neglected, or mistreated, and to educate the public with opportunities to help in this regard. We support other animal organizations working to do this. We will support adopting and fostering families with the help they need to be successful.
